Suri Li

Hello, I’m Suri Li, a junior at Sage Hill School. i grew up in Pearland, Texas, and later moved to California.

​

Since joining Seedling Sun in 2022, I have been passionate about creating welcoming and creative spaces for children, especially children with special needs. I enjoy drawing, painting, creating digital art with Procreate, and exploring AI tools for design and creative projects. I love finding new ways to bring art and technology together to make learning more engaging and accessible.

​

I am excited to continue contributing to Seedling Sun’s mission and helping more children build confidence and discover what inspires them. Outside of Seedling Sun, I also enjoy dancing hip-hop, K-pop, and jazz funk, as well as spending time with my family and friends

Daniel Xi

As the chief engineer and driver of my VEX Robotics team, I’ve had the incredible experience of leading my team to three straight Texas State Championships—2022–2023 and 2023–2024 in middle school, and 2024–2025 in high school. Every season brings late nights, broken parts, and countless redesigns, but also the thrill of seeing a robot I helped build come to life on the field.

As Head of the Robotics Initiative, I’ve learned that robotics isn’t just about gears and code—it’s about teamwork, creativity, and perseverance. I love helping younger students understand that moment when something finally clicks, when an abstract concept suddenly makes sense. At Seedling Sun, I hope to keep sharing that spark—showing kids that problem-solving and imagination can build more than just robots; they can build confidence and a love for learning that lasts far beyond the competition field.

Angela Mayer

Hello! My name is Angela Mayer, and I’m a senoir at Glenda Dawson High School. I’m a member of Dawson’s varsity cross-country team and JV track team, and I also enjoy dancing at the Coomer Ballet Conservatory.

At school, I’m involved in clubs such as DECA and FPS, where I look for ways to serve my community and support others. In my free time, I enjoy baking, crafting, and volunteering.

​

I’m passionate about helping others and encouraging creativity. That’s why I’m proud to be part of Seedling Sun Foundation and its mission to inspire children by expanding access to creative and educational opportunities.

Christy Zheng

Hi! I’m Christy Zheng, Vice President of Seedling Sun. I help lead our organization, collaborate with our members, and contribute to projects that bring our ideas and goals to life.

Outside of school, I enjoy numerous forms of art such as exploring fashion, painting, scrapbooking, and calligraphy. I also have a strong interest in discovering new creative interests.

I’m currently a freshman at Glenda Dawson High School. I believe that creativity can give young people the confidence to explore their interests and share their unique perspectives, and I’m so excited to be apart of this journey!

Angelina Lu

Hi, I’m Angelina Lu, vice president of Seedling Sun. I help lead the organization, support our officers and members, and bring new ideas and projects to life.

I hope to use my talents to create more arts and humanities opportunities for young people. I believe in nurturing creativity and encouraging artistic dreams.

​

I’m currently a freshman at St. John’s School, a competitive dancer with over a decade of experience, an avid reader, aspiring writer, and experienced leader. I love the arts, learning new things, and bringing people together.

Claire Y. Liu

Hello, my name is Claire Liu. I am an eighth grader at Pearland Junior High West. I enjoy many creative activities, including digital and traditional drawing and playing the piano. I also love organizing projects and meeting new people.

I serve as the collaborator, outreach coordinator, and one of the artists for the student-led project Project_AFK. I hope to help launch new projects, connect with others, and make a positive artistic impact on the world.

Grace Y. Liu

Hi! My name is Grace Liu, and I’m an eighth grader at Pearland Junior High West. I love art, especially creating digital illustrations.

I’m an illustrator and artist for Project_AFK, a student-led initiative that educates adolescents about digital health. I’m passionate about using creativity to inform, inspire, and help make a positive difference in the world.

Henry L. Wang

I am Henry L. Wang, a sixth grader who is always making something, whether it is a spooky story, a drawing, a new recipe, or a creation built from cardboard boxes. I love using my imagination, figuring out how things work, and turning unexpected ideas into something real.

I especially enjoy writing and illustrating my own stories and poems, and I have been lucky to have a few of them published. When I am not creating, you might find me solving a Rubik’s Cube, playing basketball or chess, cooking from scratch, dancing hip-hop, or experimenting with robotics.

Hi, I’m Alice Ai, a freshman at Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions. I am a soccer player for the club PSC and love oil painting and graphite.

I’m excited to serve with the Seedlings Sun Foundation, where I hope to help inspire Creativity, Innovation, Inspiration, Uniqueness, and Positive Impact. I’m happy to share my passion for art, learn from others, and help create a positive impact in our community.

Hi, I’m Ella and I’m a premed student at Rice University! I’m currently pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience and a B.A. in art and I love illustrating to bring young writers’ stories to life!
